Key Responsibilities:-

  • Process end-to-end weekly, monthly, and annual payrolls for a diverse client portfolio, including statutory calculations, RTI, and year-end procedures.

  • Handle starters, leavers, and other payroll entries with precision.- Amend salaries and employee data as required.

  • Resolve day-to-day payroll queries and liaise with clients to gather necessary information.

  • Calculate and verify client payrolls for approval, ensuring accuracy.- Reconcile client payrolls and provide approval reports.

  • Offer post-payroll reporting and manage auto-enrolment opt-ins and opt-outs.

  •  Address payroll queries from clients and employees.

  • Liaise with HMRC to resolve any issues.

  • Maintain an up-to-date and accurate payroll database.

  • Issue P45s and ensure all electronic filing is complete.

 

Candidate Requirements:-

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within a practice or payroll bureau environment.

  • CIPP qualification is preferred but not essential.

  • Comprehensive understanding of statutory payroll requirements (SSP, SMP, SPP, PAYE & NI).

  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong IT skills: experience with IRIS Payroll Professional is advantageous, though training will be provided.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
